Start 'Em
Patrick Mahomes vs. Houston Texans: Despite Houston's tough defense, Mahomes remains a must-start. He's been held under 22 fantasy points just four times this season, and the Texans' weakness is running quarterbacks. With the Chiefs at 6-6, this game is a de facto playoff contest, and Mahomes' legs make him an elite fantasy option, especially in the playoffs.
Darnold Prescott vs. Detroit Lions: Prescott is on a roll, scoring 20+ points in three straight games. The Lions allow the fourth-most fantasy points to QBs, and Prescott leads the league in yards against man coverage. With the Lions playing man coverage at the highest rate and losing a starting CB, Prescott is a must-start in a high-scoring indoor game.
Jared Goff vs. Dallas Cowboys: Goff's home/road splits are more balanced now, and he's a strong start in a potential TNF shootout. The Cowboys struggle against the pass, and Goff's performance in Ford Field has been his best.
Justin Herbert vs. Chicago Bears: Herbert's fantasy value has been impacted by O-line injuries, but he's expected to play against the Bears. Chicago plays man and blitzes at above-average rates, and Herbert excels in these situations, ranking third in yards, second in pass TDs, and first in EPA against man coverage.
Sit 'Em
Lamar Jackson vs. Pittsburgh Steelers: Jackson's performance has been inconsistent, with five turnovers and zero touchdowns in his last three games. He's averaged just 19.6 rushing yards per game since returning from injury. Jackson struggles against the Steelers, averaging 14.9 fantasy PPG and never running for a TD in this rivalry. The Steelers' defense has been favorable for QBs, but divisional games are different.
Justin Herbert vs. Philadelphia Eagles: Herbert's banged-up O-line and a broken hand make him a risky start. With more quick passes, he hasn't scored 15 fantasy points in three games. The Eagles' defense is tough, allowing the second-fewest pass TDs and a league-low completion rate since Week 9.
Daniel Jones vs. Jacksonville Jaguars: Jones' performance has faded, with four straight games under 17 fantasy points. The Jaguars have improved their defense, generating pressure 39% of the time, and Jones is dealing with a fractured fibula. Get away from Jones in this divisional matchup.
Caleb Williams vs. Green Bay Packers: Williams' floor is too low to trust, with fewer than 12 fantasy points in five of his last nine games. He's struggled with TD passes in most of those contests. The Packers allow the sixth-fewest fantasy points to QBs, making Williams a risky start.
